1. Career Exploration and Development of a Second Specialty
Through career-oriented programs and opportunities to pursue a minor, double major, or interdisciplinary study tracks, students broaden their professional horizons.
Industry introductions led by English-speaking professionals, thematic English workshops (including conversational practice), and corporate visits help enhance English proficiency and support industry–academia collaboration in cultivating language professionals.

2. Internship Opportunities

(1) Off-campus Learning (Summer Programs):
United Kingdom: “British Language and Culture Field Study”
United States: “Overseas Academic Program”
Tzu Chi Humanities English Practice Program

(2) Summer Internships:
In addition to summer internships, the department aims to further develop overseas internship opportunities and full-semester internship programs.
Beyond Tzu Chi Humanities Centers and related institutions, partnerships with high-tech industries and NGO organizations will expand international internship possibilities.

3. Exchange Programs and Chinese Language Teaching Assistantships
Students may participate in exchange programs with partner universities (including the MOE “Learning Abroad Program”).
These programs offer direct exposure to an international, multicultural learning environment and opportunities to practice global citizenship.

4. Dual-Degree Programs
Promotion of dual-degree pathways such as 3+1 bachelor’s programs and 4+1 bachelor–master programs:

(A) Middlesex University (London, UK):
Dual-degree programs for third- or fourth-year students.

(B) California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (USA):
3+1 bachelor’s + 1-year master’s preliminary coursework program.

(C) Saint Louis University (USA):
3+1 bachelor’s + 1-year master’s preliminary coursework program.
